Talk About Flexible...
Here is a Move Right from Silver Inner Health Circle™ member John Kevin. This one is what we all need to work towards with our exercise program every day. I am sure that the Ross Sisters had a wonderful and very busy Chiropractor who cared for them. This one is definitely not for the "squemish" among you. Enjoy and thanks again

Is Your Sex Drive Low, Are You Tired and Irritable?

O.K., now that I have the attention of the vast majority of our Silver Inner Health Circle™ Members I can let you in on a secret, which is that these are the primary symptoms, whether they admit it or not, that prompt the vast majority of patients to seek care in the Center for Nutrition and Wellness™. That's right. And what is the cause for this? Well you could have the "SYNDROME". The stress related syndrome that plagues the vast majority of women and men today in our society. What types of stressors cause this problem? Well that depends on whether you are male or female. You see according to statistics listed on asksmaartypants.com, women report more overall stress than men (27% for women and 19% for men). What are the specific stressors? Numero Uno is $$$$$$. 75% of women and 67% of women worry about money. Health concerns cause 51% of women's stress compared to 43% of men's stress. Read entire article.

TRTHINK RIGHT
  F.E.A.R.

We are living in times of great fear right now. I want all of our Silver Inner Health Circle members to remember the acronym for F.E.A.R., False Expectations Appearing Real. Remember there is no security in life! You have your Health and your dreams and that is your security. Don't ever forget that. You can have all of the money in the world, like many who have passed before us in recent history like Michael Jackson, and if you don't have your health you have nothing. Remember our 4 Pillars of Health, you must Eat Right, Think Right, Move Right, and Sleep Right. So those of you will have true HEALTH.

I want you all to live your Dreams, and I want you all to Dream Big. That my friends is the only way we will change the world!

I will share my Big Dream with you as I have shared it with all of our "Spring Cleaning Cleansers" my Dream/Goal is to: "Change humanity, by teaching and demonstrating the things that you can do to create a Genetically Congruent lifestyle which will divert your life path from a sickness and disease paradigm to a Health and Wellness Paradigm." In that pursuit I would ask you to share this with any one that you know, and care about. We need to save as many of our friends, neighbors, and relatives from ignorance about how their daily lifestyle habits are truly driving their bodies toward the "sickness and disease paradigm, and away from the Health
and Wellness Paradigm."

Vitamin D and Lipitor

I just read an abstract of a research article which will be of interest to those of you out there who take the cholesterol lowering drug Lipitor. You may find this hard to believe but this study which you can access here on Pub Med found that individuals who were taking the statin (cholesterol lowering) drug Lipitor and who supplemented with just 800 IU of  Vitamin D (coincidentally the exact dose found in one of our Standard Process Whole Food Cataplex D supplements) were able to lower both LDL cholesterol, and total cholesterol levels and get this, this reduction occurred with a much lower dose of Lipitor. Read entire story.

MR CHIROPRACTIC CORNER
Medicare Patients Give Chiropractors High Marks

Ever since the "Wilk et. al. vs. the AMA et. al." case was settled back in the 80's the profession of chiropractic has made great strides to overcome the decades of damage that was perpetrated upon it by organized medicine and the AMA. Since they were unable to "contain or eliminate" the profession of chiropractic they decided to slander the profession instead. I have always said that our Great profession has survived because of our loyal and dedicated patients and practitioners, who in the early years were willing to go to jail in order to be able to care for their patients.

lymectdLow Sex Drive, Tired and Irritable? - continued
Now just exactly how does this stress manifest? Our male members can just extrapolate from the stats that I give you on females. 47% of females say that the primary manifestation of their stress is sleeplessness, 45% irritability, 43% fatigue, and 34% depression.

Alright there is the bad news. Let's talk now about how this "Syndrome" is being classified. It actually falls into the category of "Adrenal Fatigue". Adrenal Fatigue is a term which was coined long before the attached article references (1998). I have two books on my book shelf behind me as I write this article which were written by G.E. Poesnecker, N.D., D.C. in 1975 and 1983 in which he referenced "adrenal exhaustion", and "adrenal syndrome". The bottom line with this condition is this. The little walnut-shaped glands called the adrenal glands which sit on top of the kidneys become "overly taxed" due to the chronic stress that we are exposed to today. They can only produce so much of the "stress hormones" that your body calls for and then they are "played out". In other words you have whipped them as much as you can until they just can't produce any more. So, your physiology begins to change and you start to show the effects of the "Chronic Stress" to which your body has been exposed. To understand the effects that Chronic Stress have on your body, refer to my DVD lecture on "Stress and How It's Killing You". Order DVD here

So, what can be done about this if you are already in the throws of it? You will see that Dr. Wilson has some very good ideas in his article. First change the things that you put into your mouth. Your body needs good whole raw foods, NOT PRODUCT! Don't drink caffeinated beverages at night. Learn to say NO! (Don't be super-girl (or guy). Get exercise and a change of pace. Exercise will allow your body to regenerate. A change of pace could be just a mind vacation, like calling someone to talk about something that is relaxing to you, or playing at a hobby like "scrap booking", or stamp or coin collecting, perhaps watching a sporting event or a NASCAR race. The most important thing however is begin to support your adrenal glands nutritionally. At the Center we use specific Targeted Whole Food supplements in the appropriate doses to feed the Adrenals what they require. Once again our goal is to create an environment of Purity and Sufficiency, and to eliminate Toxicity and Deficiency. This in my opinion, is the best and only way to dig yourself out of this quagmire of the "Adrenal Syndrome".

If you would like to learn more about how we can help you begin to heal your body from the effects of "Adrenal Syndrome" just click this link and Kerry will give you the opportunity to make an appointment for an evaluation to see if this 21st Century Syndrome may be plaguing you. The first step to healing this disorder is identifying it, then coming to grips with the realities of it, and dealing with each component one at a time. It can be corrected, that is the good news. You just have to get started!

So not only is this another reason to take Vitamin D, but it is also a way to potentially reduce your need for a statin drug, at least at a higher dose.

I would recommend that those of you who take Lipitor print this study off and make sure that your prescribing doctor gets a copy to review. I would also recommend that you have your vitamin D level tested.

Click here to read more about the positive health benefits of supplementing with Vitamin D.

If you would like to order a bottle of our Cataplex D (800 IU) and begin supplementing I would strongly recommend that you start today!

MRcontdCHIRO CORNER - continued
See what "The Most Jailed Chiropractor" had to say about those early years in the profession. The other reason that the profession survived was because "We got results with cases that the medical profession couldn't."

Now, well over 100 years later we are still getting rave reviews. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) chiropractic demonstration project was completed in March of 2007 and the results are being tabulated and released now. The project ran from April 2005 to March 2007. The chiropractic profession has been included in the Medicare and Medicaid programs for decades now, but this study was mandated by the Medicare Prescription Drug Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003 (the Medicare Prescription Drug Program- "Isn't that an ironic situation" since doctors of chiropractic choose not to prescribe drugs???). The intent of the study was to evaluate the effects of "Expanding the Coverage of Chiropractic Services". Well the results are in and what Great News it is for patients and for our Great profession. A whopping 87% gave their chiropractic doctors a rating of 8 or higher when asked to rate their satisfaction with care on a scale of 1-10. Actually 56% rated their chiropractor at a perfect score of 10. The neat part is that health care costs did not increase significantly with the additional services that the chiropractors were able to provide to their patients. 60% of respondents indicated that they received "complete" or "a lot of relief of their symptoms from their chiropractic treatments." High portions of respondents reported that chiropractors "listened carefully and spent sufficient time with them."

So what does this all mean? Well first of all I anticipate a few things. This study was commissioned by the Federal Government for a reason. They know that we are running short of "primary care physicians", and we will need more in the coming years. Since chiropractors are "portal of entry" meaning that you can go to a doctor of chiropractic without having to be referred, and we treat many primary care conditions, it seems to be a logical fit to allow doctors of chiropractic to have expanded access to help more patients who might not receive care otherwise, or would have to remain on a list until they could get in to see a primary care provider. Secondly, regardless of your stance on the recently passed health care bill, there will be an immediate need for more doctors in the not too distant future. The time is ripe for change in health care, the method may not be perfect, but "it is what it is", and if natural, alternative health care can be expanded so that more have access I am all for it.
